George Landrum


George is one of the original volunteers at the Pfc. Richard L. Vanover Veterans Village. He is a disabled veteran that served in the US Air Force in Vietnam from 1966-1967, a retired truck driver, and former president of the Hartford, Kentucky Jaycee's from 1970 to 1971. George has served his country and continues to serve his fellow brothers and sisters in arms. He is a member of American Legion Man O War Post 8 in Lexington Kentucky and a very active member of their honor guard assisting with over 100 funerals a year. He was elected to a seat on the post Executive Committee that oversees the post oprerations three years in a row. He volunteers every week helping the Man O War Post 8 Ladies auxiliary with bingo at the Lexington Veterans hospital.

Lenore Simons


Lenor (Nore ) comes to the village with a lot of experience and also the passion, enthusiasm and dedication to serve veterans. Currently Nore works for the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services as an Administrative Specialist III with Protection and Permanency. Duties include paying invoices, working in Excel and other programs to track and process data and other bookkeeping duties. Prior to her position with the Cabinet for Health and Family Services from 1992 to 2002 she worked at the Kentucky Veterans Center, now called Thompson-Hood Veterans Center which is a senior citizen home exclusively for veterans . During that time, worked with the intergenterational program that planned and held activities involving the children from the employee’s daycare and the veterans who lived at the facility.

Lisa Crim


• Attend all board meetings
• Serve on the executive committee
• Maintain all board records and ensure their accuracy and safety
• Review board minutes
• Assume responsibilities of the president in the absence of the board president, president elect, and vice president
• Provide notice of board meetings and committee meetings when such notice is required.

Lisa A. Crim has been a Legal Secretary for over 20 years. She currently works as a Legal Secretary in the Immigration Department of Stoll Keenon Ogden PLLC, Lexington, Kentucky, and has been there for over 8 years. Ms. Crim attended George Rogers Clark High School in Winchester, Kentucky, and the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky. She is a member of the Fairfax church of Christ and has two children and two grandchildren.
